About

EMC Toolbox is a free collection of tools for the calculations EMI/EMC and RF engineers repeat every day. No sign-up is needed; everything runs in your browser.

It is an independent project run on the basis of hands-on experience in the EMI/EMC field.

What you get

How content is written and verified

• Every formula is implemented in code and must pass automated tests against known reference values (for example 0 dBm = 1 mW, 1 V/m = 120 dBµV/m, copper skin depth about 66 µm at 1 MHz) before release.
• Standards summaries are written in our own words, not copied, and only values that agree across several public sources are listed. Where sources disagree, we leave the number out and point to the standard text.
• Limit values can change between editions and amendments, so always use the latest official document for certification and test reports.

Reporting errors

If you find an error in a result or summary, email contact@emctoolbox.com. We verify, correct it and update the page’s revision date.
